The Challenge will be held at the S.B.O. Complex - Legion Field, which is located north of the Sterling High School. The competition begins at 10am, with pre-registration starting at 9:30am. North Sterling State Park is offering a campfire program on warm water fishing on Saturday, June 19 at 7 pm. The program will feature J.C. Webb, a local Colorado Division of Wildlife Officer and fishing enthusiast, who will cover some of the major fishing destinations in northeastern Colorado, provide information on the DOW Northeast Region fish management strategy and discuss what species to look for at popular fishing locations. The program will be held at the North Sterling State Park Amphitheater, located near the Inlet Grove Campground. In the event of bad weather, the program will move inside to the South Camper Services Building. The fishing program is free, but all vehicles that enter the park must display a $6.00 daily pass or an annual pass in the windshield. Day passes can be purchased from gate staff, the visitor’s center or the self-service stations located at all park entrances.
